Feature request: indicate if resource is linked or not, show locations

#1

Hi,

I think it would be nice if you could immediately see if a resource is currently being linked by another resource or component. This way it will be much easier to spot unused resources.

Maybe this could be indicated by subtly changing the color of the hexagon icon before the resource name.

Additionally, it would also be nice to be able to see a list of the locations from where a resource is being linked from. As far as I know, the only place to see this list now is in the warning pop-up after right click>deleting the resource.

Oh, I just realised it is also possible to access resources directly in C++ via ResourceManager->findObject(). This of course can’t be detected by napkin so visualising ‘unused’ resources could result in false positives if resources are requested in C++ but not linked in napkin.

However, I still think being able to see a list of link locations would be a useful feature to have.

Agreed, will make a feature request ticket for this one.
